My Audio Cutter not only allows you to split various types of audio files into smaller files – it is also an audio converter that can convert your WAV, MP3, FLAC, AAC, AIFF, M4A, Ogg, and WMA files between formats. The cutting process is performed in a useful waveform-based interface, which allows you to perform accurate time selections down to the millisecond.
Though it does not sell itself as an audio conversion tool, you can actually use it as such. As you can save the resulting audio fragments using a codec different from that in the source, all you need to do is selecting the entire file and save it in the supported output format of your choice. This, however, is only a side benefit of the main functionality offered by My Audio Cutter – split your audio files accurately and easily. To make this possible, the program offers you two methods – a waveform graph of the input file, and two time counters for you to select the cutting points manually in hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. You can use your mouse to select the desired fragment in the waveform graph in a more interactive way, and you can then fine tune your selection using the time counters. Either way, the selection process offers a high level of accuracy.
Finally, and to make things easier, it is important to note that each output audio format comes with a set of profiles based on the different levels of quality that you can apply to the resulting file for the selected codec.
